The Surroundings

As if the nearby beach wasn't enough, there's more to explore along the coast. One of the more spectacular beaches, Playa de la Rijana, is just a quarter of an hour away by car. If you've had enough of beach life, there's plenty to discover further inland. Through winding roads you reach the mountain village of Polopos, only 12 km away. Surrounded by almond groves, the villages has impressive views in all directions. Further in from the coast, the Sierra Nevada National Park awaits you. There are many beautiful white villages to visit here and countless possibilities for hiking and in winter also skiing. Just an hour's drive from the house is Granada with a couple of the most beautiful gardens in the world, Alhambra and Generalife. Remember to book visits to these gardens well in advance.
